The Price of Hate

You tried to shatter me
Into a million pieces sheared
But as it happens I'm the rock
And you're the chandelier
You told me I was small and weak
The weakest in the chain
But now that I'm cut free
Your life will never be the same
The weight which I once held
Will fall upon you like a stone
'Twill grind your body into dust
And crush both flesh and bone
And once the winds of time
Have swept away all that remains
All that will be left will be
The echo of your name
Whispered upon lips which tremble
Thinking of your fate
And heard by ears both far and near
To learn the price of hate
