This post is dedicated to all those "normal" people out there who see themselves as being better than the wretched deviants of this world.
There is an old saying: "Judge not, lest ye be judged". I infer such wisdom to mean that this is a very large and diverse world, with a myriad of unique shapes, sizes, and shades, both within and without. And in particular, there are a million different kinds of Queer, with everyone being a little bit off in some small yet significant way.
That means you the reader are probably considered a freakish abomination by someone else out there, and are likely at risk of severe persecution by one group of people or another, depending upon circumstances.
So LGBTQ+ rights are synonymous with your rights, just as they are with my rights. And supporting any one person's right to be different eventually means supporting everyone's right to be different, you and I included.
Or alternatively, we could all just pretend to be angels, and stand in self-righteous condemnation of one another. Just don't be surprised if the lynch mobs you sent after your fellow human beings eventually come for you as well, to burn you in the very fires you helped stoke.
