Black Jesus

I remember a day several years ago when I beheld an activist proudly holding aloft a sign reading "Jesus for President!"

I also remember thinking to myself: "If only this person knew what a horrendous thing they were hoping for, they would stop."

For you see, the truth of the matter is that the Messiah wants nothing to do with the ugliness of politics. Many times the masses tried to crown Him as their king, and just as many times He fled from their presence to prevent it from happening. He is also on record as having denounced worldly power as being an "abomination" before the divine presence of heaven.

So if you truly want a chivalrous, charismatic leader to sweep you off of your feet, and carry you to the stars and beyond, all you will end up with as a ruler will be the Anti-Christ. For that is the only person who has enough deceitfulness to maintain the outward appearance of virtue, as well as enough ambition to uncontrollably lust for power, both of which together are prerequisites for political success in this dark world.
