Memories of Gold

Automated Item Appraisal

I would like to propose what might be the most lucrative opportunity made feasible by reverse image searches: automated item appraisal.

First, old items are purchased wholesale. Based upon the laws of probability, most will be junk, while some will be genuine antiques, and a select few will be worth their weight in gold.

Next, all items are placed upon conveyor belts, and fed into an imaging system, which subjects each one to a vigorous reverse image search, specifically identifying it, and appraising its value on the open market.

Finally, if the item is identified as being above a certain sell value, it is diverted to a separate conveyor system, labelled as such, and prepared for shop display.

This would not only prove profitable, but it would also save priceless artifacts from obscurity at best, and destruction at worst.
