In this day and age, the criticism of capitalism has reached a deafening pitch. And the response to that dissent has been as vociferous a denial from capitalists as the world has ever heard.
But the times have changed. A century ago we bore witness to a multitude of competing ideologies and economic policies. Now though, all of them have been relegated to the dustbin of history.
All, that is, but one: capitalism. Fascism has been buried. Colonialism has disintegrated. Soviet-style communism has also collapsed. And Islamic fundamentalism has been bombed into rubble. Capitalism is the only one of them left.
So tell me: who else can be blamed for the sorry state of modern human civilization? Who else can be held responsible for the tens of millions of refugees, the hundreds of thousands of corpses, and the financial destitution which has made life so unbearable for so many people the world over?
The list of ideologies to be held culpable for all of this suffering, much less even be credited with still having any form of globalist reach, is very short, and capitalism is firmly at its head.
And that, my friends, is the reason why the chorus of voices condemning capitalist societies the world over has been growing in number. It is because, quite frankly, there is no one left to condemn.
